PROsimity
Smarter business networking. A proximity and event networking app with a swipe-to-connect flow, and only mutually interested attendees got connected. Used at IBM, KPMG and Sheppard Mullin events, and ranked the #2 event networking tool by Eventbrite.
the story
PROsimity was my third startup, built as founder, CEO and CTO. It brought "Tinder for business" mechanics to corporate events before that was a category: attendees saw who was nearby, swiped on people worth meeting, and only matched when interest was mutual, killing the cold-intro awkwardness that makes event networking fail.
We shipped native iOS, Android and web clients, and presented at Miami's national Tech Cocktail startup showcase. It didn't survive, but the lessons about user acquisition, event distribution and mobile product did, and they carried straight into Growth-X, which I later sold.
